It's been a while, right? OK, I'm quite inactive as an mapper (yet I started
to work on a team effort – UT2004 map-pack). Happy holidays and all this
stuff, of course (I guess you'll read this in February ;-)).
Now - Insite duties: After the Endymion/Aeris our big group effort was released.
UCMP2 - DM & DOM
was really tough thing for us but we made it after all (with T2A` and Homeslice
together). After this I reviewed small map by raffib –
DM-1on1-Metus.
Then colourish CTF-Stargate-Oblivion-Revamped
by BIG-MICK followed (that man really likes CAPS, brr :-)) and after nearly
2 months hiatus (Insite was missing our leader's voice :-)) I reviewed great
piece DM-Morrigan
by Hazel.H.
T2A` reviewed my DM-TCMP-Taboo meanwhile and it ended up with (traditional) 7/10. :-) Good thing that gameplay was considered the better part (with visuals still far from bad). Now I should start to work on some 8/10 at last. :-)
I've got some new Insite reviews... from me to you. :-) They are DM-Endymion+ and DM-Aeris. Especially the second one deserves your attention. Thuderstrike, my co-Insiter, also reviewed my DM-Getherto. My first proper TDM try ended up with 7 and I'm kinda happy with that. ;-)
Other than that... I moved to my new own dwelling with new internet connection. Hopefully my gaming experience will get better (looks like so far). I also do some small progress on that CTF. I should show it to someone at last to know if I should stop right now or later. ;-)
I kinda forgot to update this page and so I do it now with a batch of my Insite reviews. Second reviewed map was DM-Jeremiad by rimmy and it might be a little odd because my experiences with the map was a little bit odd too. ;-) It scored 5.5.
Next one was MsM's DM-Phoenix which I also betatested on January 2006. It was standard MsM's work with fine layout promising serious gameplay – but he messed it up with item placement. Anyway, it scored 7.0 – that's really good.
My last (fourth) review was ONS-Araja by minifloppy. It's huge map (intended for 20-24 players, but I think it's suitable for 6v6 very well too) with 7 nodes, two primaries and three ways leading to the enemy core. All is situated in the middle of Na-Pali cliffy mountains Araja. It looks good, it plays well and it easily earned 8.0 and Map of the Moment spot. :-) Good work.
Other then review work... I started to play Starcraft and it's kinda adictive game too. ;-) Anyway I also opened editor recently and I will try to bring some CTF map for 5v5 (and more) players – but who knows if I deliver proper gameplay. :-) No rush... weather is too hot for rush. Peace...
Started: April 22th, 2006 (I took a break after Getherto, entered Ci, and so... :-))
Released: May 17th, 2006

DM-TCMP-Taboo was finally released – check the map on my portfolio page where you can find additional mirrors and pictures. :-) If you want fun yet solid TDM map you can't miss this one!
I don't have too many problems with HOMs, yet I think I can write an article about them (oh, how bold!). It may not be without mistakes and may not be complete, but it may help you when you encounter HOM. There are also two real-life examples of solved HOM, so don't linger and check my new page – HOM hunting. :-)
I started many new things in the last few weeks – one of them (last few days) is that I became an Insite reviewer. I wanted to be, actually. Long time ago. But I kinda hasitated too much... but this is past and many reviews written by me are future – while my first review is present. Hobs' map DM-LaRoche was my first victim. :-)
I started to create this page. Page about me as a player and mainly as a mapper. So this should be my portfolio with some other stuff - in English, of course. I have some other pages, but they are all in Slovak language - finally some international stuff is here too.
I have many things to do in this time. I became Insite reviewer and so I should start working on my second review (first is just about to be shipped ;-)). I have Taboo map in development and I want to move from alpha stage to the beta stage. I have some duties in Carpe Imperium (glad about that). And so this page is on the fourth position. And I'm talking only about UT2004 related world, because there are my friends and my girlfriend out there in the real life. But don't worry, this page will try to reach its quota. ;-)
